NitroPlate’s Cast Iron Gray finish is a high temperature ceramic material that approximates the dark gray appearance of natural cast iron.  This finish is commonly used on cast iron exhaust manifolds where the customer desires more of a restoration look.   Other common applications include brake drums, brake rotors and cast iron brackets.

Performance

NitroPlate’s Cast Iron Gray is capable of up to 1700 degrees F and is highly resistant to gasoline and all other common “under-hood” chemicals. Corrosion performance is outstanding as it is applied as a topcoat over our metallic/ceramic coating.  This provides a combination of both sacrificial and barrier protection.

Care and Maintenance
