NitroPlate’s Satin finish is a high temperature metallic/ceramic material that has the light gray appearance of natural aluminum. It is perfect for aluminum intake manifolds when the desire is to maintain that new part look. Unlike an uncoated intake, gasoline, methanol, oil and grease will clean off easily. Satin is also a popular choice for cast iron exhaust manifolds, cast iron intake manifolds and valve covers.
NitroPlate’s Satin is capable of up to 1300 degrees F and is highly resistant to gasoline and all other common “under-hood” chemicals. Like our Bright finish; satin is a sacrificial coating designed to provide cathodic protection under corrosive conditions. Thermal characteristics reduce underhood temperatures while providing measurable performance gains.

Care and Maintenance
As with all NitroPlate finishes; Satin is fully oven cured before it leaves our plant. There is no need to be concerned about any sort of break-in procedure. Clean with soap and water or a mild degreaser as needed. Be aware that aggressive rubbing will tend to increase gloss.
NitroPlate Bright is a highly polished aluminum ceramic coating capable of withstanding 1300 degrees. It has excellent thermal properties. This cuts down on under hood heat, increases horsepower and helps in scavenging of the exhaust. Nitroplate Bright can also be used in areas such as intakes, rear end housings, control arms, and wheelie bars and steel wheels
